Japan day 1.

I left LA on 22 Mar on ANA airlines, the food was outstanding,

The dinner course was Curry with potato croquette and steamed rice.Udon noodles (back right), 2 pieces of fish, and veggies. Although this looks small it was quite filling. Plus, we had Hagen Das vanilla ice creame for desert. Breakfast consisted of Rigatoni bolognese with greek yogurt and diced fruit. (not pictured). Watched 2 movies Fantastic Beasts and where to find them and Detective Conan anime. Fantastic Beasts, was well done and had a few suprizes along the way. Landed in Narita and breezed through customs without any issues. Tour representative was present and guided us to the Green Tomato bus which took everybody to their respective hotels. Arrived at Hearton Hotel Higashi Shinagawa and checked in to my room.

The room was small compared to American style rooms, and turning on the lights in the room took forever as there is a slot on the side of the wall to insert your room key card. Once that was completed, the lights came on no sweat. Here is a picture of one of those famous Japanese toilets:

The flusher lever is located on the wall (you can see it in the first picture). I managed to flip on the tv and was looking for some anime as I was hoping to catch the final episode of Naruto. Of course it was too late and I had missed the show. After I figured out how to work the alarm clock I put on the sleeping robe that was provided.

Well it was off to bed as we had to be downstairs by 9:00 for the first day of the tour.
